Today on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... 81 days and counting ... but there will be lots of UVA and Tech spring football talk on the show. Right off the bat though, Seinfeld becomes a big topic of conversation as RR is trying to get Larry on board with perhaps the greatest comedy show of all time. Carl from Harrisonburg chimes in on "The Marine Biologist" episode, which is one of Rich's favorites. Jeff from Lynchburg also checked in and Larry determined that he might rent a season for the weekend as he expects to be laid up for a few days after his procedure. Al Groh joined R&R on the show next to talk about spring practice up in Charlottesville. Coach Groh touched on the disappointing start to the spring with leading receiver Kevin Ogletree going down with an ACL and being lost for the year ... although Groh said that injuries are a part of the game and someone will have to step up to fill the hole left by Ogletree. Groh also talked about the 'Sea of Orange' and how please he is with how fans are supporting the team. Coach wasn't so sure about the suggestion of the "Al Groh Dunking Booth" being a staple of The Spring Festivus up in Charlottesville ... he feared some folks might think it was a drowning booth. Rich determined that season 4 of Seinfeld is the one Larry needs to rent for the weekend ... it has the most GREAT episodes. Sportsline Historian Wesley checked in with This Day in Sportsline History and brought us back to 2001 when Luscious Lil went to Martinsville to cover the race for the show and came back with no interviews or soundbytes ... nothing. Thanks Lil! Sean Glennon, QB of the VT Hokies was up next on the show and he talked about how well he thought the spring is going in Blacksburg. He talked about his role and how it is changing and evolving and how he hope and expects to be more of an impact player for the offense this year, rather than just a caretaker. Sean talked about the improvement of the offensive line this spring and how much of a difference that will make not only for him ... but for the entire offense as well. R&R talk about the debacle in Durham, now that the charges have been dropped against the 3 Dook Lacrosse players. The stripper needs to pay the price for her lying and overall dispicableness ... Bluetooth and Danny are on the case to reveal her identity. Darnell checks in at the first mention of strippers and ho's. Denny Hamlin, driver for Joe Gibbs Racing checked in and talked some Nextel Cup with R&R. He touched on the schedule, which is very loaded with days off early in the year ... also talked about the car of tomorrow and how everyone will just need to get used to it.
