Today on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... 80 days and counting ... but again plenty of spring football on tap for the show. R&R kick it off with the news that Don Imus got fired from his radio show as well as his TV show for the 'nappy headed ho's' comments he made last week. Rich and Larry both do not like Imus' show, but think its outrageous that he got the boot for those comments. Thank god rich hasn't gotten fired ... cause he has said much worse stuff than that according to the Legend. Jack from Blackstone checks in questioning how Sharpton and Reverend Jackson can get away with the things they say. Jack also calls for Darnell to be the moral authority for the country. Wes checked in with 'This Day in Sportsline History' recalling 2002 in which a couple of really hot girls doused Wes with honey and then covered him in feathers outside of The Sportsline Studio. Chris Long, DL for the UVA Cavs checked in with an update on spring practice in Charlottesville. Chris talked about his reasons for sticking around for his senior season rather than opting out for the pros ... and also explained why he thought 2007 would be a better season for the Cavs than 2006 was. Finally ... Chris jumped on board with The Sportsline's plan to incorporate an "Al Groh Dunking Booth" into the festivities during the Spring Festivus. Lanny Wadkins, one of the great golfers to come from Virginia dropped by the show next. Lanny talked about recovering from his back surgery and is now ready to resume action on the Champions Tour. Lanny also touched on the Masters, shared some of his experiences there and commented on what a great champion Zach Johnson will make. He is also looking forward to the Senior PGA at Kiawah ... and took his opportunity to zing Larry for watching Regis and Kelly and The View. Word is out that Girls Gone Wild will be filming in Blacksburg next week and Rich deems that a perfect spot for a live Fantasy Friday Remote. Frank Beamer dropped by the show and talked about spring practice in Blacksburg and the tough loss last year in the Peach Bowl.
