Today on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... 68 days and counting ... but some of the breaking news in the Commonwealth is that Sean Singletary has declared for the NBA Draft. Sean will not hire an agent, which means that he can withdraw his name prior to the draft, but this still comes as a bit of a surprise to Rich and Larry. R&R say that its actually a smart move to look, but both feel like Sean should come back for another year in C'ville. Former UVa hoops star and NBA player for over a decade, John Crotty joined Rich and Larry to talk about the NBA playoffs and the Heat - Bulls series. John is now a color analyst for the Heat, and he said that Miami needs to find a way to flip the switch and turn it on now that the playoffs are here. Injuries all season really cost this team an opportunity to gel, however its basically the same team that won the championship last year ... so Crotty gives them a chance to make it back to the Eastern Conference Finals, where expects the Pistons to be waiting. R&R were graced by the appearance of Darnell who checked in about the Circus, before Doug Doughty dropped by the show. Doug talked about the decision by Singletary to explore his NBA options and how it basically contradicted what he told everybody all year long. Doughty also sided up with Larry on Al Groh's job security ... saying even at 5-7 next year, he expects Groh to stay at UVA. In the final half hour of the show, R&R ran down the NASCAR Fantasy League Standings and gathered up the GM's for a hearing and a vote on Bluetooth ... who did not get Tony Raines the requisite number of starts prior to the Chase. There were some good cases made to drop him to the women's division for the final 3 races, but a vote was not taken due to the show running out of time.
