Friday on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... Rich is on vacation down in Charleston so Larry is holding down the fort along with the help of Blueberry and the Comrade. Danny Rocco, Liberty Head Coach came on to preview the Flames upcoming season and talked about his teams preparation, the kicking game and the Tribute that would be paid to Jerry Falwell.
Sportsline Historian Wesley Q. May checked in with This Day in Sportsline History and then the guys went to the phones to get some predictions on the upcoming season for the VT Hokies. Larry and the gang also talked a little Nextel Cup racing heading into the chase.
Up next was a special Fantasy Friday guest ... Rich Hodge. Double R goes on vacation and a dude is the Fantasy Friday guest. What the hell is wrong with this picture? Actually, it was truly a fantasy for the Legend, as Hodge is an expert colleg football handicapper, whose big pick was Georgia Tech over Notre Dame.
Dan Grogan of GroganSports.com talked a little fantasy football and the guys got in the final matchup of the Sweet 16 in PromoMania ... The DHB vs. The Tired Groin.
