Hit the Links!, Dave Glenn and Bob Glauber Makes an Appearance
Wednesday, 01 August 2007

Wednesday on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... Rich and Larry launched a new feature on the website called "Hit the Links".  The Sportsline has partnered up with some of the top golf courses around the Commonwealth to bring listeners of the show some unbeatable deals in golf around the area.  Make sure you check it out!  Wes also checked in with a History Moment ... one year ago he delivered a cornish game hen to Larry as a consolation prize for losing The Sportsline Cup.  Well Larry didn't actually lose the Cup, so Wes sent in another hen today ... hoping Larry will lose this year.

Dave Glenn of the ACC Area Sports Journal dropped by the show to preview some ACC Football.  Dave expects VT to be at the top of the class this year and figures that Sean Glennon can certainly play well enough to not cost the Hokies any games.  DG feels like UVA will be much improved as well this year, with a top defense that should keep them competitive in almost any game.

After talking a little more about Hit The Links ... R&R hook up with their NFL Insider Bob Glauber, of NY Newsday and ESPN's First Take.  Bob is a wealth of information ... but Rich and Larry always prefer to have fun with Bob as well.  Glauber took his typical pot shots at RR for being a bad dad, for being short and for being a former gymnast.  He was obviously on the phone long enough to get all of that stuff in.  Mentioned some good football tidbits including being up at Pats Camp and he even touched on the Redskins as well.  Plenty on Ookie too ... although we all seem to be getting pretty tired of that story.
