Luscious Lillian's Final Show
Thursday, 16 August 2007

Thursday on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... a bit of a bittersweet day.  The good news (at least for her) is that Luscious Lil has finally committed to moving in with her husband after 9 months of marriage ... but the bad news (with an "S") is that she is leaving the show.  Today is officially the final show of Lillian Garcia after 10+ years of service with The Sportsline.  And what better way to celebrate than with some great food from Schmokies.  Eddie Moran of Ivy Hill Golf Club also checked in following day 2 of the Sportsline Cup (which Rich's Bitches began to pull away with after all 3 matches being tied on the ninth tee).  Eddie claimed that right now his money would be on Lil over Larry on the links.

Wes and Bruce are the first two listeners to check in and wish Lil well in all of her future endeavors.  Wes also recalled some special memories of Luscious during her tenure with the show.  Lillian was never really much of an on air personality as she consciously chose to keep as much of her life private as she could.

Hour 2 opened up with a montage of Luscious Lil created by Larry and the Comrade featuring some fun moments including Lil as 'Dora the Explorer' throwing out the first pitch at a Lynchburg Hillcats game.  The montage also included lots of an Air Supply song ... which Larry claimed was a love song even though it wasn't.

What would Lil's final show be like without Darnell checking in?  He finally tracked down R&R and most importantly Lil after the move and wished Lillian a fond farewell.  Other callers jumped on the phones to say goodbye to one of the show's greatest assets over the years.  Finally, Lillian's husband Jericho checked in and R&R congratulated him on winning the battle to get his wife back.  Lil ... you will be missed!
