Thursday on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... included in the preview of today's show were the results from yesterday's PromoMania matchups including one which ended in a tie.  So live on the air, R&R had a tiebreaker ... and The Gay Professor came out on top of The Crack Whore as a rash of listeners checked in to vote for the professor.

Tommy Bowden, Head Coach of Clemson joined Rich and Larry as the ACC preview continued.   First things first ... Bowden made it very clear that he does not like playing a big game as the first one of the year ... as this year his Tigers will open up on labor day night against the Seminoles.  Bowden also touched on the disappointing finish last year, and how he hopes to avoid that again in 07.  Coach also hopes that his strength at RB will help overcome his inexperience at QB.  

Rich and Larry also had some fun with David Letterman's top 10 list featuring Michael Vick.  Several years back, Letterman also had a top 10 featuring Marcus Vick's vicious stomp.  R&R compared them and declared Marcus the winner.  A tremendous honor for him I am sure.

R&R talk a little more VT football with the offensive coordinator for the Hokies Bryan Stinespring.  He said that he felt like Sean Glennon was doing a great job handling all of the pressure he is under, and really feels as though Glennon has improved a great deal since last season.  Stinespring also got a laugh out of the question about the questions in the kicking game heading into the season.  Said that we'd have to ask the special teams coach about that.
