Mac McDonald, Mickey Matthews and Joe Glenn
Wednesday, 29 August 2007
Wednesday on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... the guys kick off the show talking about how VT Athletic Director Jim Weaver called on Hokie fans to cheer for their opponents this year, to thank them for the support that was shown to VT during and since the tragedy.  Larry says that Weaver should have just asked VT fans to act more like UVA fans, and related a story about how well Blueberry was treated in C'Ville during a game with UNC when he was wearing his tarheel gear.

Up next was Mac McDonald, voice of the UVA Cavaliers to talk a little Wahoos football.  Mac made a number of bold predictions on the show, including that he feels that when its all said and done, Jameel Sewell could be the next great QB at UVA.  Mac also talked about the expectations of this football team possibly winning 9 or 10 ... that's right 10!!!!... games and being in contention for the Gator Bowl.

Mickey Matthews, James Madison Head Coach dropped by the show next to preview the upcoming season for the Dukes.  Matthews said that opening up the season against UNC is not his idea of a good game ... as the pressure is really on all I-AA teams to win 8 games to make the playoffs.  Matthews is a little concerned about JMU's youth with only 7 seniors in their top 40 players, and expects the team to be better in November than they are now.

Joe Glenn, Wyoming HC was up next on The Sportsline looking ahead to the season opener against UVA.  Glenn compared UVA and Wyoming, especially at the QB position where both teams struggled last year, before finally finding their guy.  Glenn also loved the fact that his team finished strong last year, and hopes that leads to a good beginning this season.

More PromoMania to wrap up the show ... as The Ass Expert matched up with The Jersey Bashfest.
