Erin Andrews II, Gil Brant, Hootie & Erick Smith ... & The Comrade hates Suzy.
Wednesday, 27 December 2006

A jam packed show today as every half hour is booked with a great guest ... and the Legend once again is out on vacation.

The show kicked off with a second appearance by the popular Erin Andrews of ESPN.  Erin talked with Rich about the bowl games, and how the first 75 percent of them were not even worth watching.  Erin then talked a little Hokies, and picked them to win.  Also said she likes the chances of her Florida Gators to win the National Championship ... and she said she wasn't even drinking the cool aid.

Gil Brandt, analyst for nfl.com and former player personell director for the Dallas Cowboys dropped by the show ... live from Montana, where he was spending the Christmas Holiday.  Gil talked about the competitive balance (parity) in the league and how so many different scenarios and possibilities for the playoffs made the final week of the regular season a blast in his opinion.

Jerry "Hootie" Ratcliffe, sports editor of The Charlottesville Daily Progress dropped by to talk some UVA hoops.  Hootie was a witness to the carnage down in Puerto Rico as the Hoos took 7th place in an 8 team tournament.  He talked about the late night partying by several members of the team as an issue that would be addressed by Dave Leitao after a short break for the holidays.

Erick Smith, college football editor of the USA Today was the final guest of the evening.  Rich and Erick talked plenty of college football ... including some Hokies ... as Erick was yet another expert to pick VT to win the Peach Bowl.  Erick also said that he felt that Nick Saban would not bolt for Alabama, after so many different denials.

Rich also took The Comrade and Bluetooth to task for their taste in women ... the Comrade especially ... after his comments that he thought Andrea Kremer and Suzy Kolber were equally hot ... or not for that matter.  Shame on the Comrade.
