Larry returns ... and so does Tom Knott
Thursday, 14 December 2006

The Legend was back from a day off watching his daughter perform in a Christmas play, and he missed out on all of Wednesday's "fun".  Lots of football talk on today's show.

Plus Tom Knott, the great columnist from the Washington Times dropped by to talk a little bit about what is going on in the DC sports scene.  Knott talked about the Redskins clearly being the number 1 attraction up in Washington, with the Wizards being a close second.  Knott talked about the inner cities being a very big on pro basketball, with college hoops taking a back seat.  Even with the re-emergence of Georgetown, with another John Thompsen at the helm, the Hoyas are still not the talk of the town.  Knott also spent a few minutes talking about Allen Iverson and the future of the former Hoya.  While conceding that he needed way more than a couple of minutes to talk about AI, Knott did say that he thought that Iverson is not truly a superstar like most others, and that there are too many teams out there where he would not necessarily help the team.
