Rachel Nichols, Jason Cole, John Packet & the Return of Fantasy Friday
Friday, 07 December 2007
"Fantasy" Friday is back on The Sportsline ... as Double R is flying solo as Larry is off on another one of his shopping excursions to the outlets.  RR is getting some help from Blueberry and Perver ... er ... Teaser Mike.  After mocking Larry for only a couple of minutes (he deserved much more) ... Rich previewed the rest of the show including the appearance of Rachel Nichols.  He also noted that Blueberry scared off Erin Andrews, who Rich predicted will never be on the show again.  Rich and the guys also talked about the Redskin's win on Thursday night ... despite the craziness of both teams having their starting QB's carted off the field.

Rich also predicted that the Patsies will roll over Pittsburgh this weekend ... despite his hopes to the contrary.  The Jets beat the Steelers just a few weeks ago, running a similar defensive scheme to the Pats ... but without the experienced players and the Mastermind Beli-Cheat.  Jason Cole of Yahoo! also checked in as he will be headed to Tennessee to check out the Titans and Chargers.  Cole believes that the Chargers have the best talent in the NFL ... and have had a tough time adjusting to the new coaching staff ... and not just Norv!  Ted Cottrell and the defense have not been clicking either.

Fantasy Friday returns with EPSN's Rachel Nichols.  Rachel was up in Washington for the Skin's Thursday night game with Chicago.  Despite the win, she feels that the Skins will have a tough time making the playoffs this season, with Dallas playing great and the Giants still ahead of them, it will be a tough road.  She will be in Philly this weekend for the Giants - Eagles game and also has a big feature coming up this Tuesday on her new show E:60.  She is profiling Kimbo Slice who is a rising star in Ultimate Fighting after getting his start in backyard brawls which garnered immense interest on the internet.

John Packet of the Richmond Times Dispatch checked in to preview the Richmond Spiders I-AA semifinal against Appalachian St.  Richmond needs to control Appy's dual threat QB ... but if they can do that, Packet likes the Spiders chances.  Josh Wood (aka Slappy) also talked more about this matchup in "Covering The Commonwealth".  Rich and the gang wrapped up the show running down the NFL games in Pigskin Pick'em.
