Today on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... 131 days and counting although a little later in the show Double R will have to cough up some cash for the "Brady is Gay" Jar. In the opening segment today ... R&R make fun of Norv Turner, the new HC of the SD Chargers ... and rip on ARod and Jeter a little bit ... along with announcing that a Sportsline Time Capsule will be opened during tomorrow's show. This Day in Sportsline History featured a mistake on the show ... the NASCAR Spelling Bee. Lanny Wadkins was up next in on the show. He talked about being excited to be out of the broadcast booth and back on the Champions Tour full time. He also talked about some of the guys on the PGA Tour right now ... and even touched on playing golf with his kids ... the oldest of which is following in his footsteps down at Wake Forest. The topic of Tom Brady was next on the agenda. Rich has two words for you ... artificial insemination. Or ... publicity stunt. Your choice ... he's not buying it. Larry thinks this proves that Tom Brady likes girls ... YEAH RIGHT! Fox Sports Chris Meyers joined R&R in hour number 2. He said that most of the gang on the set agreed with Nascar's decision to let the guys race to the checkered flag ... rather than freeze the field with a caution. Let the guys on the field (or track) determine the game ... not the officials. Double R didn't have time to talk about his upcoming 'trial separation' from his wife ... stay tuned. R&R tried to get into Sportsline Nascar Fantasy League Standings presented by ABC 13 WSET, but quickly got sidetracked talking TV. Rich said that listening to Dora and Diego speak Mexican every morning allowed him to work on his profanity in foreign languages. Larry then pointed out that both Danner Evans and Leigh Forrester, who did pieces on The Sportsline for WSET, have now been bumped up into the anchor chair. Theory here is that a brief affiliation with The Sportsline is career gold. R&R wondered if WSLS's Angela Hatcher could be next? That promped a call in from WSLS News Director Shane Moreland who said he had hi hopes for Angela ... but would wait for the pics R&R have of her dressed up like a cheeleader to be released on the web ... before making the promotion.
