Today on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... 150 days and counting. Rich and Larry open up todays show disappointed in the Hokies for dropping one at home to the lowly Wolfpack of NC State. Wolfpack Mark took the opportunity to check in demanding a 3 pronged apology from Larry ... which of course he did not get. Gil Brandt, former player personell director of the Dallas Cowboys and now a top analyst for nfl.com checked in from down in Miami. Gil picked the Colts to win the Superbowl and also thinks that the Cowboys will miss Parcells ... who clearly still has a great grasp on the NFL. Gil said that its just much harder to win in the NFL today because of the parity that exists. R&R began to preview the UVA - Dook game. Rich revealed that he would probably Tivo the game, so he could watch it without commercials ... after Grey's Anatomy. Dan Beyer of FSR stopped by again ... and commented on the how boring Superbowl week is with a couple of classy, focused teams who aren't willing to run off at the mouth. Chris Wallace of CavsCorner.com visited with Rich and Larry on his way up to C'ville for the big game. Wallace hinted at the thought of the Cavs just drilling Dook ... but he backed off the beatdown and just picked the Cavs to win. Wallace thought the most interesting matchup of the night would be who Greg Paulus would cover. Sportsline Historian Wes checked in with "This Day in Sportsline History" on the 2006 Signing day show. Rich questioned some of the data that Wes claimed to be accurate. Turns out Wes was right ... shame on Double R. TC Cochran checked in from Miami with an Alltel Superbowl Hotline update and put the MVP of SB 22, Doug Williams on the phone with R&R. Williams talked about strolling down memory lane ... and also talked about his desire to crack into the coaching ranks in the NFL. TC, Rich and Larry chatted a little ... funny stuff. Time for the picks ... Rich, with some hesitation takes UVA to beat Dook tonite in C'ville. Larry expected Josh McRoberts to be too much of a factor inside ... and went with Dook.
