Segment 1 Lots breaking news as Rich and Larry go on the air... Branden Ore will return to Virginia Tech for the 08 season and 4 UVA football players are not enrolled for the Spring 08 semester, including QB Jameel Sewell and DB Chris Cook. Segment 2 Rich and Larry aren't surprised that Ore is back in school. Can you name a VT starter beside Marcus Vick who ever got kicked off? We will give you 20 seconds...yea, Vick's the only one. Out of nowhere we find out that Nasty Nick is single at 24 and has been for a while. Segment 3 Kyle Tucker of the Virginian Pilot isn't really surprised that Ore is back in school. One thing that people can't forget is that the crack-cocaine case happened a year and a half ago and isn't something that just recently happened. Ore was worried about the whole situation and really wasn't ready to go to the NFL. The ground rules for him coming and they are speculation but they proably have set a strict guideline for him as far as grades and that he needed to be in shape. Segment 4 Short Segment Rich touch on some of the UVA/VT game last night and what a stunner it was that VT pulled out the game in OT at the buzzer. Segment 5 A.D Vassallo talks about the big win last night over Virginia. A.D has had to make the transition as being a leader on this now since he is an upper classmen. A.D said that his heart was about to fall out while watching Deron take the last shot., now as long as the wins keep stacking up it's not a problem. Georgia Tech is not on the dockett for the Hokies and after a 1 point lose to UNC last night they are going to come after the Hokies. A.D says that they haven't lost down in Atlanta since he has been there. Segment 6 David Elfin of the Washington Times stops by to update Rich and Larry about the Redskins current head coaching vacancy. If your Greg Williams how are you not taken back by all of these different coaches coming in. David was in Indy last week for the Colts and Chargers and he will be at New England this weekend. The question arises do the Chargers have a chance and David thinks they do after seeing what he saw on Sunday. Segment 7 Chris Wallace of cavscorner.com drops to answer many questions. What happened last night against VT? What do we know about Cook and Sewell not being in school this semester? And will Mike London take the Richmond job and leave UVA as the D.Cord? Chris starts with London and his sources reveal that contract talks are ongoing and he has been offered the job. If he goes to UR then UVA will also loose it's lead recruitor. There is speculation that Gary Darnell might be a choice and he and Groh are good friends. According to his source there is a better chance that he will take it (75%). Now onto the four players who are not enrolled for the semester. Sewell is not a huge surprise because Lalich was told to be ready to compete for the job about a month ago. Segment 8 More with Chris Wallace, as we transition into hoops but UVA is not very good right now. This is not a confident team and they are really tentative, they see signs of improvement and they are trying to take it from the driving range to the course. |
