Jim Hobgood & Chris Wallace on UVA-Maryland & New Graphics for the "Brady is Gay" Jar
Tuesday, 16 January 2007

Tuesday on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry, the daily countdown until the Tom Gay-dy comments can resume on Rich's part, we are now down to 166 days.  Rich and Larry also acknowledged the death of Benny Parsons.  R&R pointed out that while Parsons did not have much of an impact in their lives due to their lack of interest in NASCAR, they realize that it is a big deal and big loss for NASCAR fans and the NASCAR Community.

Double R and the Legend also spent more time on Marty Schottenheimer and whether or not a coach who goes 14-2 should be fired.  He playoff record came up again, 5-13 with 6 straight losses, and Rich points out that he has not won a playoff game since 1993.  WOW!

The Comrade comes through with a couple of graphic options for the "Tom Brady is Gay" jar, which Rich must fund every time he violates the terms of his bet in the next 166 days.  One image is Brady looking very gay ... the other is of tom looking manly, if thats possible.  R&R agree to put both images on the jar ... and put the images up on the website.

Rich also brings up the great comment by Phil Simms during Sunday's broadcast about Tom Gay-dy "really being able to fit it in some tight spots"with about 3:10 remaining in the first quarter.  WOW again!  And we thought he was still in the closet.   Rich talks about how Morningline host Brian Weigand gave him a link to some gay website outsports.com where there is a list of other homo-erotic comments made by Phil Simms. Uggh!

Jim Hobgood, color analyst for the UVA radio network joined R&R live from C'ville prior to the tipoff of UVA and Maryland. Hobgood made a great point which caught the guys off guard a little bit, saying that UVA needed to go 10-6 in the ACC to make the NCAA tournament.  Even though its early, Hobgood said that tonite's game against Maryland is a must win game.

After a little more UVA talk ... Chris Wallace, editior of CavsCorner.com joined R&R live from C'ville previewing UVA and Maryland.  Chris agreed with Hobgood saying that 10-6 is the number that UVA needs to hit in conference, because its ACC schedule is a little week ... now that the schedules are unbalanced.  Wallace also hooked listeners of The Sportsline up with some hot UVA football recruiting news as signing day approaches.
