Segment 1 Larry has finally returned from his vacation....I thought maybe he quit. 4500 media credentials given out for the Super Bowl. But how many of those 4500 can actually get in the stadium. Hank Gola from the NY Daily News and TC live from Arizona will be checking in later on in the show. Segment 2 Today was media day for the Super Bowl...the circus. Hank Gola joins the sportsline to talk about the Super Bowl and of course media day. Gola talks about how much work it actually is the week leading up to the Super Bowl with his hometown Giants making it to the big game. Gola thinks it could really be any kind of game...not willing to stick his head out and really predict anything. The Giants are very relaxed...there is really no preasure on them like there is on the Pats. Segment 3 Larry says that Disney World must've been invaded by Red Sox and Patriots fans...everywhere. What is this world coming to? Larry ran into a "Jets fan" in Orlando that is rooting for the Pats this week because he says he will NEVER cheer for the Giants....and now a heated discussion develops....is Rich a "TRUE" Jets fan.....I, the lowly intern, am with Rich on this one.....but then again I'm not a Jets fan.... Madison Hedgecock, FB from the Giants joins the Sportsline on the phone to talk about all the crazy things going on for media today and of course the upcoming game this Sunday. Segment 4 This day in Sportsline History.....last year a 72 year old NASCAR driver joined the Sportsline..... Segment 5 Daryl Slator joins the Sportsline to talk Tech basketball and their game against Florida State later on tonight. Daryl has never viewed Tech as a tournament team...but they have done a decent job at winning the close games so far...so who knows. Segment 6 TC checks in once again to let us in on what is going down at the Super Bowl, etc. TC doesn't like the pushing that goes on at media day, etc....He is looking forward to the next couple of days where he can truly sit down with the players. TC is sick of the players sticking to the script....no fireworks at all. Segment 7 Larry is a true Red Sox fan and knows that Francona's nickname is Tito...both Nick and Blueberry had no idea....Mets have traded for Twins star Johan Santana...Rich as a "huge" Mets fan thinks that Santana will be washed up. Segment 8 Eddie Garcia of Fox Sports drops by once again. The guys talk about the crazy stuff going on at media day today. Some crazy things like puppets asking questions as well as kids and even fortune tellers. The Maxim party is the place to be over the Playboy party at the Super Bowl...or so says reliable sources. |
