The BCS Championship Game (yawn), plus Dan Beyer and Kelli Johnson
Monday, 07 January 2008
Segment 1:
To start off the week, Rich and Larry talk about the dissatisfying game the Redskins played this week.  They started off bad, then came back and took the lead, and just like that, they gave up and completely fell apart losing 35-14.
Some other exciting games happened this week as the Giants came to play and the Tampa Bay offense just couldn't do nothing on the offensive or defensive side of the game.  Finally to top off the football weekend Vince Young was unable to make an attempt at his running game and lost the game for the Titans as they were defeated by the Chargers.

Segment 2:
Brandon Flowers is skipping the senior year at Virginia Tech and is entering the NFL Draft.  According to mom, Flowers is projected to do better than the NFL prediction of round 2.
Michael Vick has moved his 10 x 10 apartment to Kansas, where he hopes to enter a drug rehab program, which could also reduce his sentence by up to 12 months.  Who makes these rules anyway?

Segment 3:
Roger Clemens is topic to start off the segment, and it's just sad to see all this unravel, and how he has to try and clear his name on a sketchy 60 minutes interview with Mike Wallace last night.
Rich is not to happy and anxious to get to this national championship game tonight.  Possibly the main reason is because of the uncertainty of do these teams actually belong in this game.
Overall it's been a bad bowl season, and the layoff is just another couple of reasons why it's ready to end this season and bring on the NFL playoffs.

Segment 4:
Dan Beyer from Fox Sports Radio stops by to talk to Double R and the Legend about the big game tonight.  Are these the two best teams this year, maybe, but almost every team this year will try to make an argument that they deserve to be there.  At-least both teams won their respective conference.
Matt Flynn and Glenn Dorsey are reported to be healthy and are just to much to for this Ohio State team, final score is 28-17 for LSU.

Segment 5:
Kelli Johnson from Comcast sports starts off the hour talking a little Redskins.  After the weekend talk, it really looks like Joe Gibbs will not be returning after this year, and a lot of that has to do with the death of Sean Taylor, and the bad decisions he's been making this year.  It really seems that this season has taken a toll on Gibbs, and it may be at the right time as the Redskins are going to face a lot of problems this upcoming off season.  Todd Collins is up for free agency and the wide receiver depth is going to be an issue as well.  Gregg Williams could be the man to take over if Gibbs does not return this year, and there has been a lot of talk in recent years if Williams is suitable to take over the job.

Segment 6:
A whole minute of ..........

Segment 7:
Larry, Rich, Teaser Mike, Blueberry, and Nasty Nick breakdown the bets for the big game tonight.  Somehow the spread has gone to 7 1/2 to 10 to 13 for LSU to cover over Ohio st.  Larry has three bets going for some high calorie Pizzas, and thick burgers.

Segment 8:

The terms are still not decided among the bet tonight, so the segment begins with how many different ways you can bet with pizzas and different types of toppings.  Before ending the segment the terms have moved on to fine dining and exchanges of significant others.  Needless to say this one game that started off the show as a meaningless, boring game has turned into the biggest game of the college football season.
