Wednesday on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... the show opens with the commercial for Michael Vick's Dog Fighting Academy and then R&R dive right into it. Sam Eaton of WSET is on hand to cover the federal indictments and Manny from Schmokies is here with some food for the gang as well. After talking with Manny for a minute or two ... Rich and Larry hook up with David Teel of the Newport News Daily Press for more fallout from the Vick indictments. David said it is still too early to determine whether folks in Vick's hometown of VA Beach are more supportive or condemning of Vick.
Up next ... Rich and Larry get a little feedback from Sam Eaton of WSET on his angle covering the story ... which turns out to be when Sports becomes News. Then R&R went back to the phones and heard many opinions from listeners ... including Dave from Bedford who was a bit perturbed that Double R and the Legend do not preface each and every one of their comments with the word allegedly.
In hour number 2 ... ESPN NASCAR Analyst Stacy Compton joined the guys in studio to talk about a variety of topics. Stacy, who also owns race teams, brought in one of his top prodigies ... Adam Barker who was on an unbelievable run down in South Boston Speedway. Stacy talked about the importance of interviews and interacting with the media. Tony Stewart, a guy Stacy really knows and respects, is not the best at post race interviews.
