Monday on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... we are into the final week of Rich's penance for losing the bet to Larry back in January. One more week until the Brady bashing can resume. Rich and Larry kick off the show talking about TV viewing over the weekend. Rich watched some UFC and Larry caught Saturday Night Live even though the consensus in the studio is that its just not funny anymore. Neither watched the race. Regular racing is boring enough ... but even die hard race fans can't stand road courses. R&R both missed Kyle Petty, the in-car analyst for TNT, dropping an "F-Bomb" on the air. Buck Martinez, former MLB Manager for the BlueJays, former catcher and current Orioles color analyst dropped by the show. Buck talked about the difficulty in being a manager or head coach of any kind in pro sports today, because of the demands put on them and the tough time getting the respect of their players due to the outrageous salaries today. Buck also thinks that Andy McPhail can possibly make the difference up in Baltimore, but will take his time to find the right manager. Martinez also distanced himself from the "Bloody Sock" controversy between Curt Schilling and his broadcast partner Gary Thorne. Word just came into the studios that WWE Superstar Chris Benoit and his family were found dead today in their Atlanta home. No real details were available but R&R wondered how this would affect the big 'memorial service' that was scheduled for tonite's Monday Night Raw, featuring the fake death of Vince McMahon. Rich also described some of the action in Saturday Night's Ultimate Fighter Finale ... and Larry talked about Royce Gracie loving the 'mount me' position for about 20 minutes, which is about 18 minutes more than the Comrade can go. Finally on the show, R&R talked about the upcoming PromoMania event. Kind of a combination of the The King of All Jerks and Bracketmania. Listeners will be able to fill out their brackets online and potentially win prizes. Plus listeners will also play a huge role in determining the winner by voting online and on the air. Sportsline Historian Wes checked in with TDISLH ... back in 1999 we were in the semi-finals of the Jerkoff. Sprewell wound up winning. R&R wrapped up the show with the 1999 King of All Jerks Montage.
