Thursday on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... 2 more days left in the moratorium for RR on Tom Brady. R&R opened up the show with some new info on Chris Benoit's murder suicide in which someone posted a tidbit on Wikipedia about Nancy Benoit's death 14 hours prior to police finding the bodies, and the IP address is located in Stamford, CN ... home of the WWE. Rich chalked it up as coincidence, but Larry feels Vince McMahon is the devil. Chris Eckstand of SI.com checked in live from the NBA Draft and confirmed that the Blazers will in fact take Greg Oden number 1. Chris also previewed what he felt like might be a very active draft in terms of trades, and talked about the relatively low number of foreign players in the mix this year. Up next, the play-in game for PromoMania 2007. R&R started off by playing the 5 promos competing this year for the right to make the final field of 64. Rich, Larry and Luscious Lil cast their votes and then opened it up for calls and emails. Curtis Staples dropped by the show in hour 2, for more draft talk. Curtis talked about the advice he has been giving UVA's JR Reynolds about the upcoming draft and how he emphasized that whether JR or any of the local guys get drafted or not ... the key for them is going to be to outwork everyone on the team to try to make the roster. Rich and Larry next talked a little college football recruiting (sort of) ... basically explaining why they have a hard time focusing much attention on recruiting because it is such a crapshoot ... and its high school kids ... how can you bash them? |
