Thursday on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... the show opens up with a quick rundown of the leaderboard at the US Open. Phil is still out on the course and managing to play decently despite his claims of a wrist "injury". Double R comments that if FIGJAM had this injury for last years US Open, he would have won it ... since he would not have hit driver off the hospitality tent on the 72nd hole. R&R also recap their bet ... Phil vs. Tiger.
Hank Gola of the NY Daily news checked in live from Oakmont. Hank pointed out that if the guys were frustrated with the course today, it was only going to get worse as everyone expects the course to play even harder the next 3 days. After comparing FIGJAM's wrist injury to that of Michelle Wie, Gola pointed out that in 10 more majors, Sergio will reach the number that it finally took FiGJAM to win his first.
Paul White of the USA Today dropped by to talk a little baseball. He says that MLB has no legs to stand on when it comes to Giambi and feels that this whole thing will just blow over. White also talked about MLB making a big deal out of its draft last week ... with no real hope that it will ever approach the level of the NFL or NBA draft.
Finally R&R try to resolve the NASCAR Fantasy situation involving the Legend and his cheating team. Larry makes his pitch for suspending Kurt Busch for a race and the Commish tries to drop the hammer with a 150 point fine. Time runs out before a resolution can be reached.
