Tuesday on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... 11 days and counting ... but today's was a really fun show. It started off with a Michael Vick dogfighting update from Daryl Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Daryl reported that these investigations generally take more than a year to complete in many circumstances ... so we have just scratched the tip of the iceberg. Up next, R&R began playing The Sportsline Dating Game ... in which they are trying to pair up 3 staff members, The Comrade, Bluetooth and Danny Boy ... with the 3 golf pros at Poplar Grove. Each pro will work with one of the 3 Sportsline members for 2 months ... and try to get their golf game ready for a big match during The Sportsline Cup. Everyone was asked a series of 10 questions ... and depending on the responses, Rich and Larry would match up one of the staff members with one of the golf pros. Many of the questions revolved around golf ... golf theories, golf ethics, golf situations ... but some revolved on everyday life activities. R&R tried to really pair these guys up on a number of different levels. The questions were a lot of fun, involved a lot of drinking and even provoked a bunch of trash talk between Bluetooth and Danny Boy. Can't wait to see what the stakes are going to be for this event. In the end, the best match was Danny and Faber Jamerson. The Comrade matched up well with both Chad Sutton and Tracy Newman, but he wound up being paired with Chad because of Bluetooth. Jerod had no matches at all with either Chad or Faber, so by default he was paired up with Tracy. Scott Miller of CBSSportsline.com joined R&R to talk a little baseball. Scott talked at length about the mess in Baltimore with the Orioles, and seconded the sentiments of many others ... saying that the O's won't get back on track until Peter Angelos sells the team.
