Today on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... 107 days and counting ... but it's Day 2 of The Broadcast from the Bunker ... and the fantastic spread of food was brought in by Schmokies Smokehouse Restaurant in Wyndhurst. What a day for Double R and the Legend ... college hoops all day on the big screen ... great food provided by Shmokies and the opportunity to do the show from RR's couch ... right beside a crackling fire. Ed Miller, columnist for the Virginian Pilot dropped by live from Columbus to talk about UVa's big win and to preview Tech's upcoming game with Illinois. Ed talked about the great game JR Reynolds turned in for the Cavs coming off that hip injury ... and mentioned that it's high time Coleman Collins stepped up to the plate. Doug Doughty was up next after R&R talked about VCU's big win over Dook and the shame that Larry should feel for picking Dook to the Sweet 16. Doughty said that Virginia is tough to beat when both JR and Singletary are on their game. Doug thinks UVA will advance to the sweet 16 ... has all 4 number 1 seeds in the final four and filled out 4 different brackets. R&R have some technical difficulties coming into the top of the hour ... probably need to lay off the crown and cokes. Dan Bonner joined R&R live from his region in Lexington and joked about only 1 of his 4 games in round one being somewhat competitive. Dan commented that the NCAA Selection Committee didn't look real good giving Stanford an at-large bid, considering how badly they got drilled by Louisville. He was hoping for some better games in round 2. R&R talk some Hokies as VT falls behind early to the Illini. Nathan Warters of the News and Advance blow them off for updates ... so much for extending the olive branch huh? Stacy Compton, of ESPN joined R&R once again prior to the big races upcoming in Atlanta. Stacy talked about his bad luck after qualifying in the truck series and also previewed the cup race on Sunday. Stacy also seemed somewhat perplexed as to how Jerod can mismanage the team sponsored by Stacy ... without ever seeking his council. It really is puzzling.
More technical difficulties marred the final few minutes of the show ... but Rich was already camped out at the bar ... and had "next" in foosball.
