Today on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... 104 days and counting ... but the number is up for both the Hoos and Hokies as they both came up short in their bid to reach the sweet 16. Rich announced the new poll question ... wondering who had the best season this year, which will be a big topic of conversation on today's show. Plus ... the Grand Prize for Bracketmanina ... the get-a-way to Kiawah Island Resort ... has arrived on the premesis. Mr. Ass was not ready with an update on Bracketmania scores. Bill Roth, Voice of the Hokies was up next on the show. Bill talked about the great careers for Dowdell and Gordon and how they have played such a big role in putting Tech hoops on the map and given Hokie fans something to talk about other than football. Jeff White of the Richmond Times Dispatch recapped UVa's run in the NCAA. He said that jumping out on top of Albany early was huge ... could have been a tough game coming down the stretch. Jeff was also disappointed that UVa continued to let Lofton get the ball and bury free throws down the stretch ... though Sean did have a great look for the tie. He also touched on the strong bond that Leitao and Singletary have. Erin Andrews of ESPN dropped by live from the Hair Salon ... or whatever its called. Talked about her Gators ... and how she was so worried early in the game ... that she ditched the new shirt she was breaking in ... in favor of the old Championship T-shirt that she new would be good luck for the Gators. Gotta love a superstitious girl huh? Erin also talked about Florida's history with Butler, and how much the Big 10 was stinking it up. Her bracket still looks good though ... much better than Larry's. R&R previewed the rest of the week's guests ... looks like another big week. In fact, rumor is Mr. Skin might be making another appearance. Upon futher review ... Rich thinks the poll question is a no brainer. UVa. VCU had a great year ... but Tech and UVa beat Dook as well ... as a matter of fact, Dook was 0 for the Commonwealth this year. Tech was projected to be better than UVa as the Cavs were picked 8th ... but UVa shared the regular season title with UNC, both Tech and UVa went as far in the NCAA's and UVa actually had a legit chance at the sweet 16. Cavs hands down. The conversation then turned to the Hokies. Despite a great year ... Larry wondered about coaching inadequacies ... and wondered whether Seth Greenberg is the guy long term in Blacksburg. Rich is convinced Leitao is the guy in C'ville ... he says the jury is still out on Greenberg in Blacksburg and the Legend agreed.
