David Teel, Pete Williams & The Countdown Continues
Tuesday, 29 May 2007

Tuesday on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... only 6 days and counting until Double R and the Legend begin broadcasting from their new digs at ESPN Radio in Lynchburg.  The Countdown continues as Rich and Larry begin flashing back to some of the show's more memorable moments over the course of the past decade which are good, but won't quite make the cut for Friday's show.  One such memory and promo was when Luscious Lil was sitting in with RR on one of Larry's many vacation days ... and a caller talked about listening to the show in the shower.  He promised Rich though, that he was never fully naked while listening to Double R's voice.

David Teel of the Newport News Daily Press joined R&R for a Michael Vick dogfighting update.  David was not quite 100 percent on board with the theme music R&R have chosen for the updates "Who Let the Dogs Out" but did see some of the humor there.  Teel also said that this story is getting huge coverage in the Virginia Beach area and doesn't look like its gonna go away any time soon.  David also wonders about how this might hurt VT down the road ... he agrees with Rich that there could be a lot of similiarities to the Chris Weber situation at Michigan.

R&R next have some fun with Miss America taking a tumble at the Miss Universe Pageant before jumping into the Comrade's exclusive interview with Michael Vick.  If you haven't already heard this ... find a way to do so.  It's hilarious.  Rich and Larry also flashed back a few years ... to the first ever "Broadcast from the Bunker" ... and thanked Triangle Ford Mercury for giving them the opportunity.

Finally, Pete Williams the great writer and author joined Rich and Larry to talk a little Baseball. Williams was on board with the Yankees being in a world of trouble that Roger Clemens alone can't fix ... however he did caution that the Yankees are still the Yankees and should not be counted out.  Pete also talked a little UVA, being an alum, and he talked about the Bonds watch as well.
