Friday on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... a new countdown is underway ... only 6 shows including Friday's left on our currently flagship station, WLNI. Rich is once again live from Kiawah Island Resort the home of The Senior PGA Championship at The Ocean Course ... and coverage is brought to you by Poplar Grove Golf Club ... the best golf Central Virginia has to offer.

Right off the bat, NBC Golf reporter Jimmy Roberts joined Rich.  He talked a lot about the golf course and the tough conditions that the seniors would have to face ... and Jimmy and Double R also looked ahead at June's US Open which will also be broadcast on NBC.  Jimmy thinks Phil is ready to go and that last year's meltdown is no longer having any affect on FIGJAM.

Following Jimmy Roberts ... R&R caught up with 'The Walrus' Craig Stadler for a few minutes as he was wandering around the media room.  Craig wasn't real pleased with his putting on Friday ... said it was the most frustrating part of golf ... to be hitting the ball so well and not make any putts.

Senior PGA Tournament Director David Charles was up next on the show.  He talked about what went into planning and putting on a major championship ... and also about what the PGA will learn from this week that will help them prepare for the PGA Championship in 2012.  Dave also touched on the setup of the golf course to make it fair and playable and pointed out that they moved up the tees on Thursday and Friday because of the tough conditions with the wind.

Former VA guy and 2 time US Open Winner Curtis Strange caught up with Rich after his round on Friday.  He talked about the tough wind conditions ... but also raved about the golf course.  8 or 9 holes running right along the beach and the Atlantic Ocean make this a must play course for everyone according to Curtis.  He also likes the way his game is shaping up right now and he expects to be a contender in the near future.

Our Fantasy Friday guest this week was of course ... golf related.  Daniela Lazar of caddychicks.com dropped by the show and talked about this great new website that allows guys to hire hot chicks to carry their bags.  Golf Bags that is!

R&R squeezed in a little NASCAR talk with the Coca-Cola 600 ... the longest race on the face of God's Green Earth ... and got Fantasy starters as well.

Roger Warren,  a busy guy this week wearing 2 very important hats.  Roger is the President of Kiawah and the Honorary President of the PGA ... but he found a few minutes to come on the show.  He talked about hosting a major Championship being an honor for Kiawah ... and looks forward to many more down the road.  Also said that the exposure will really help attract attention to Kiawah and its 5 great golf courses.  Predicted the winner would be around 5 under par.

Finally on the show ... a clip of the interview Rich did with John Jacobs.  John was the golfer who plunked Rich with his Tee shot on the 18th hole on Thursday ... and still seemed somewhat peeved that Double R didn't kick his ball back into the fairway.
