Wednesday on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... 39 days and
counting ... a lot going on today on the show as the rumors have been
confirmed ... beginning June 4 The Sportsline will be broadcasting from
a new home ... but it will not be from Rich's basement. RR also points
out that tonite is the night that the Hokies will be honored at Yankee
Stadium, with the Bronx Bombers donating 1 million dollars to the Hokie
Spirit Memorial Fund ... and get this ... LARRY APPLAUDED THE YANKEES!
And yes folks ... its on tape. Also, Sportsline Historian Wes May
checked in to remind us about how in 2005 The Shepherd revealed that he
stalked cub scouts while camping in the woods. Sick Puppy!
Baseball
Hall of Fame Pitcher Don Sutton, now the color analyst for the
Washington Nationals dropped by the show. Sutton talked about making
the move into the broadcast booth and how he feels that this job with
the Nats will be his final gig. Sutton also compared the Nats
favorably with the Atlanta Braves in terms of personell, attitude and
building the program.
Up next was the Nascar Fantasy draft for
season 2, presented by ABC 13 WSET. Justin Feldcamp replaces Dennis
Carter as the GM of the ABC 13 team ... plus Greg Tomlin makes the move
up to Comissioner of the league and will attempt to bring some honor
and integrity to the League. He sure did a lousy job reading the rules
... we will see how he does as The Commish.
