Today on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... 60 days and counting ... and somehow the guys got right into talking about the best class that they ever got credit for ...after announcing that the show is searching for interns for which you can receive college credit. Rich took a class at Cornell called "Wines" in which there was a 3 hour lab each wednesday afternoon in which you simply tasted different wines from different regions of the world. Jerod offered up his coaching football class as competition for "Wines" ... however RR played the trump card when he announced that he left the class with a nice buzz each week ... basically getting college credit for getting drunk. Tough to beat that one. Wes also checked in with This Day in Sportsline History ... dating back to 2001 when Stacy Compton was a guest of Rich and Larry in Studio. Up next R&R talked some NBA Playoffs. The Mavs made an amazing comeback in the final 3 minutes of game 5 to stay alive in round 1 ... and Larry stayed up to watch it. As much as Rich and Larry want Golden State to win this series ... Rich feels as though the Mavs will wrap it up. The Warriors need to win game 6 at home, because RR feels they will definitely loose game 7. Now much of the pressure shifts to the Warriors, especially since they had the opportunity to close it out last night ... as Larry correctly pointed out. NBA talk was followed up by NASCAR Fantasy Standings ... and Larry and Bluetooth have yet to come up with terms for thier wager. Jim Ducibella, Redskins writer for the Virginian Pilot dropped by to talk a little football. "Deuce" agreed with Larry's theory ... that because the Skins didn't absolutely screw up the draft this year, they automatically get an "A". Both Ducibella and the Legend feel that LaRon Landry is one of the best defensive players in the draft and the Skins got him. Jim pointed out that once again Washington did not address the D-Line and specifically a pass rusher ... which will give them problems again this year. Ducibella also said that upper management is still not sold on Jason Campbell and expects the Skins to go 7-9 or 8-8 next season. Former Wake Forest DB Josh Gattis dropped by the show and talked about getting ready to head to Jacksonville after being picked by the Jags in the fifth round. Josh said he was disappointed in going so low, but will use that as motivation to prove all of the teams that passed on him wrong. Josh also told R&R how the Deacons really expected to have a great year despite being picked by the media to be last in the ACC. He also said that the depth Wake has built up by Redshirting players each year will allow them to remain competitive and not be a 1 year wonder. R&R wrapped up the show running down the standings after week 1 of the Coca-Cola 600 contest ... and wondered who in the hell is "Mike Finger Fore" ... as Jerod has named him.
