Today on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... 59 days and counting ... but R&R start out the day talking about the developing story on Michael Vick and his possible involvement in the dog fighting situation on his property. RR read parts of an article in the Atlanta Journal Constitution detailing a business in Vick's name "Vick's K9 Kennels" that raises pit bulls with the listed address being the one where all the trouble was. Vick denied any knowlege of what's going on ... but clearly that looks like it might not be true. Wes also checked in with This Day in Sportsline History ... pointing out that last year it was revealed that Luscious Lil looks exactly like Dora the Explorer. Fox Sports Nascar Analyst Larry McReynolds was up next on the show ... to talk a little Nextel Cup. McReynolds, being an Alabama guy said that he was ashamed of the behavior that some folks exhibited after Jeff Gordon won down at Talladega, peppering Gordon's car and the track with debris. He feared that it might soon lead to coolers being banned from the racetrack ... which would make races even more expensive for the average fan. McReynolds also said that Hendrick has figured out the COT quicker than everyone else, thus their success at COT races. David Teel, the great columnist for the Newport News Daily Press dropped by the show to update listeners on the Michael Vick situation. Teel said that even though the Falcons traded away Matt Schaub ... this year could very well be Vick's last in ATL unless he gets his act together on and off the field. Teel talked about Michael and Marcus' off field troubles and said that more than likely the $$$ is having a big effect on these two.
Larry is breast
feeding at home? RR speculates that he is ... although the Legend
denies it. Bill Clement of NBC Sports also dropped by the
show to talk a little Hockey ... previewing round 2 of the NHL
Playoffs. R&R finished off the show with ... of all
things ... a hockey call. There is someone in Virginia who
appreciates the hockey coverage afterall!
