Lex Luger Live in Studio ... plus Angela Hatcher Returns
Tuesday, 08 May 2007

Today on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... 54 days and counting ... but the main event on today's show is former WCW and WWE Superstar Lex Luger live in studio with R&R.  Right off the bat the excitement is evident on the show ... as R&R discuss and debate who should be the one to get 'racked' by The Total Package.  Also, the word hits the studio that Angela Hatcher of WSLS-TV is going to be in doing a piece on Lex and that should give The Sportsline a little TV time tonite.  The big question is however ... will R&R make Angela Hatcher don the cheerleading outfit yet again?

Sportsline Historian Wes checked in via voicemail with This Day in Sportsline History.  And showing his committment to the show, Wesley left the history moment on his cell phone voicemail ... since he would be unable to do it live on the air.  What committment!  Incidentally, the history moment flashed back to 2006 when R&R had an indepth discussion on sailing terms like Port and Starbird ... why?  I have no idea.

Ben Walker of the Associated Press from up in NY dropped by the show next to talk about Roger Clemens arrival in the Big Apple.  Ben wondered whether the Rocket back in pinstripes will be enough to make the Yankees a playoff team ... since the AL East is by no means guaranteed 2 teams anymore.  Also, speculation arose about whether or not Clemens will deliver for NY or even possibly get injured ... which got Larry excited.

Manny from Schmokies arrived with tons of food for Lex and the gang ... and spent a few minutes talking about the new menu at Schmokies.

Up next ... The Total Package ... live in The Sportsline Studios.  R&R have a blast with Lex, as he talked about breaking into the wrestling business after a career in pro football ... and he got into how he got is name and why it has been able to stand the test of time.   Lex also touched on the toll that wrestling takes on one's body and the chaotic schedule that wrestlers endure.

Lex also talked about the wild lifestyle that he lived for many years ... and discussed the night Miss Elizabeth died on his couch.  He talked about the felonies, the jail time and how eventually God became an inspiration and saved him from his troubled life.
