Michael Vick's Situation Worsens, Jason Cole & Michael Lee
Thursday, 17 May 2007

Today on The Sportsline with Rich Roth and Larry Richmond ... 46 days and counting ... but R&R kicked off the show having a little fun with the torrential downpours that are hitting the Lynchburg area.  Rich apparently fertilized his lawn earlier in the day ... which requires at least 24 hours of no rain.  Oh Well ... there's an hour of his life that he will never get back!  Larry of course is quick to make fun of this ... even though he doesn't even cut his lawn, nevermind fertilize it.  This brought up comments about the gay gardener yet again ...

Next Double R and the Legend got into the Michael Vick situation with his dog fighting habit ... as Yahoo Sports Jason Cole joined them on the show.  Jason broke the story of how there is mounting evidence that not only was Michael Vick at his Smithfield home way more than he has admitted too ... but there is also evidence, including possible videotapes, that he attended dogfights on the property.  Cole was quick to point out that Vick's problems, while substantial, are not on the same level as Pacman Jones or Chris Henry.  R&R also took some calls on the topic ... ranging from folks who believe that MV is a total bust at the NFL level ... to big Vick fans who think he can do no wrong.

Michael Lee of the Washington Post dropped by the show to talk some NBA hoops.  Michael said he was enjoying the triple digit temperatures in Phoenix ... although most folks were a little disappointed that the premiere series left in this years NBA playoffs would be somewhat tainted by a pivotal game 5 in which the Suns lost 2 key players due to suspension while the Spurs lost only a role player in Robert Horry.  Lee also said that he would not have changed his vote for Dirk for MVP if he had one ... as a result of Dirk's miserable performance in round 1.  Lee said it was a regular season award and he deserved it for his regular season performance.
