Big Time Guests Everywhere . . . Eric Montross, Howie Long & Frank Beamer . . . plus The Wiggles .
Wednesday, 29 November 2006

What a show today . . . jammed with big time guests and a donkey punch reference.  What more could you ask for?

The show opened with a preview of the main event in the 2006 ACC-Big Ten Challenge ... Ohio State at Carolina.  R&R were joined by former Tarheel all-american and the current color analyst for the Tarheel Sports Network, Eric Montross.  Montross talked about all of the young talent on the NC roster, but said that the high expectations should not affect this bunch, as they are used to high expectations all throughout their hoops careers.

Up next was Howie Long of Fox NFL Sunday.  A big topic with Howie was the rules set in place to protect the QB's.  Mathias Kiawanuka's miss on Vince Young this past Sunday brought the issue to light, as he was afraid to tackle Young for fear of being flagged for roughing the passer.  Long said that he totally understood the mindset of Kiawanuka and that it was legitmate, since Kiawanuka was put in a no win situation by the rediculous rules in place designed to protect QBs.

Finally, Frank Beamer, head coach of the Virginia Tech Hokies dropped by the show.  Frank talked about how proud he was of this team bouncing back from the 2 brutal losses to GT and BC to finish with 10 wins.  He talked about being young at all the wrong places this year but the senior leaders really stepping up and rallying the troops.

Some unfortunate donkey punching references were made by . . . Double R of course.  As well as some Bluetooth ripping for his lack of loyalty to UNC . . . and Larry's favorite band, The Wiggles came up as the lead singer Yellow or something (The Legend of course knows his whole story) is leaving the Wiggles with an undisclosed disease, which RR believes to be AIDS.  Hot potato, hot potato . . .
