David Teel, Mike Burnup and the Tom Brady Song Parody
Tuesday, 28 November 2006

Lots of college hoops on todays show, as well as plenty of football too.  Rich and Larry got caught up talking about the downfall of college hoops . . . as mid-majors are taking over.  Actually, thats not really happening . . . but it is Rich's big fear, that too many mid-major upsets in the NCAA tourney will ruin his favorite sporting event of the year.

David Teel of the Newport News Daily Press told R&R not to worry . . . the mid-majors will not run the asylum.  He talked about George Mason's run last year being a great story . . . but we should not expect it from other mid-majors on a yearly basis.  Teel also talked about Michael Vick.  He said that while the act of flipping off fans was certainly out of character for Michael (much more Marcus-like), it was something he did need to apologize for.  He also pointed out that all of us have done a similar thing while driving, and we still consider ourselves decent human beings.  Teel believes both UVA and Tech should be NCAA tourney teams.

Mike Burnup, the color analyst for the VT radio network also dropped by to talk some Hokies.  Mike said that the Hokies had a great year, and that one more win would have almost certainly gotten them an at large berth in a BCS game.  But Gator or Peach ain't bad either (isn't that right UVA fans?) and Mike thought that the Chick-Fil-A Bowl (formerly the peach . . . damn corporate shills) might be more appealing since the Hokies have already visited Jacksonville a lot recently.

Rich also played this evening . . . the Tom Brady song parody . . . Brady.  Great stuff . . . and it really doesn't help Larry's argument that Brady is not gay.
