2007 Song Parody Contest Results Show
Tuesday, 20 November 2007
Wednesday on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... the results show for the 2007 SPC in which we will find out who wins the Amateur and Elite Divisions after last nights great performances.  R&R open the show thanking everyone who helped, participated or came out to Cattle Annie's.

Too many entrants in the amateur division to play them all, so R&R just played some clips from each performance.  New Blood Keith Chumley was campaigning for votes out in Blacksburg and a did a great job on his song for a first go round.  Mickey Johnson was over the top when it came to the Gay references in his version of YMCA, but it all came down to 3 performances.  Greg Tomlin did another solid job to finish in fourth, and DOC Michael was a unanimous 3rd.  Defending Champ Wes is defending no more, as Ray Irby grabbed the amatuer division crown in 2007.

In the Elite Division, the voting was just as tough.  All 4 contestants had a great shot at winning.  Double R and the Legend acutally had to nitpick each performance because they were all that close.  Defending champ Jeff "The Boss" Maxwell needed to do more familiar song, Jamie Minnix needed a band or some live accompanyment.  KB, Ernest & KC needed to shorten their song a little while Norm & the Recliners could have used another verse.  In the end, it was KB, Ernest & KC claiming another crown after a close vote over Norm & The Recliners.
