On todays show Rich talked lots of college football. Doug Doughty of the Roanoke Times dropped by to talk some UVA football . . . and like everyone else, Doug is wondering where the wins are gonna come from the rest of the way. He provided some interesting insight into Al Groh, and his passion for winning, including the little tidbit that after a loss Groh makes his own coffee so he doesn't have to face the fans at the local 7-11 . . . along with the coach's lack of a grasp for handling the public relations nightmare that Cavalier football is turning into.
Also on todays show, Dave Glenn, editor of the ACC Area Sports Journal dropped by to talk ACC Football. He touched on the problems down at FSU and Miami . . . saying that the Canes just don't have the elite talent that they have had in recent times. Dave also said that the way things are shaping up, anyone can beat anyone in the league (except Dook of course) and that will make things very interesting and unpredictable coming down the stretch. Dave like's VT, but has Georgia Tech and Clemson playing the ACC Title Game coming up in December . . . for now anyway.
Chris Cook, DB for Virgina also dropped by the show. He told Rich that the Cavs defense is focusing on scoring to help take some of the load off the offense.
