Fantasy Friday gets bumped as the Hokies get embarrassed in Beantown.
Friday, 13 October 2006

The Hokies go down in embarrassing fashion up in Boston on Thursday night football and ruin half of Fantasy Friday on The Sportsline.  We had to bail on one of our Fantasy Friday guests (the hot one of course with all apologies to Dan Grogan) in order to make room for all of the phone calls concerning the Virginia Tech Hokies.

Losing another game is only a small part of what was discussed on Friday's show.  Dancing on the field in the waning seconds of a beatdown, numerous personal foul penalties, pushing matches on the sideline and more arrests are symptoms of what seems to be the bigger problem in Blacksburg.   Kirk Herbstreit's public undressing of Tech's program may be what it takes to get some serious action taken in the Virginia Tech football program.

Rich described it as "too much blue chip, too little blue collar".  Others claim the inmates are running the asylum.  Whatever the case, something needs to be done to get that program off the track of FSU and Miami as "thug" programs.

Also on Friday's show, Dan Grogran took some calls and answered plenty of fantasy football questions heading into week 6 of the NFL. Rich and Larry also ran through all of the games on this week's Pigskin Pick'em.
