Skip Holtz, head coach at East Carolina dropped by the show . . . and apparently he has learned well from his old man . . . Legendary Lou Holtz. Skip told Rich and Larry that he is not quite as good as his dad at building up the opponent, but Rich begs to differ. After telling the guys that he wishes he was builiding up how good UVA is . . . he proceeded to say that his program at ECU is still a few years away from being able to compete with the Cavs on the football field. That sounds great in theory . . . right up until you realize that his Pirates are nearly a touchdown favorite over UVA. We also talked some NFL on the show, as Mark Maske of the Washington Post dropped by the show. Mark was at the Cowboys-Titans game when Albert Haynesworth took "The Stomp" to a whole new level. Mark pointed out that with a five game suspension, the NFL led by its new Commissioner took a bold stance, suspending Albert for more than twice as long as any suspension ever dished out by the league for an act that took place on the field. Rich and Larry also spent some time running down the new lines for this week's Sportsline Pigskin Pick'em and announced Storm Large as the listener's choice for the best interview on The Sportsline in the month of September. The Interview with Storm will be posted on the website for most of Ocotber.
