Don Bailey, former Miami Hurricane and currently the color analyst for
the Miami Radio Network joined Rich and Larry for 2 segments on
Monday's show to dicuss the brew-ha-ha between the Canes and Florida
International this past Saturday. Don has always been a straight
shooter with The Sportsline and it was certainly interesting to get his
perspective on the brawl. Don said that in this case, FIU was
clearly the instigator and that THE U was just reacting to the repeated
cheap shots being taken at their expense. He also criticized the
national media for not taking the time to get their facts straight, and
instead just jumping to the conclusion that Miami was "just being
Miami" and heads need to roll as a result.
Also on the show, Chris Wallace of CavsCorner.com talked some UVA
with the guys. Chris said that this might be one of the most
talented teams Virginia has ever had but that the problem is that they
are all very young and inexperienced. Chris expects next years
team to be very, very good . . . and also thinks Dave Leito is the real
deal and will wonders with the Virginia Hoops program.
Monday night also means a trip to the site of Monday Night
Football. Darren Urban of the East Valley/Scottsdale Tribune
talked about the disappointment of the Cardinals to date . . . but
Darren also said that he wouldn't be surprised if Arizona came away
with a win over the Bears. How close he was . . .
