Monday on The Sportsline with Rich Roth and Larry Richmond, 29 days and counting 'til The 2007 Song Parody Contest ... and the SPC gets even more intriguing as the Cavs knock off Maryland and extend the streak to 7 straight wins. Chris Wallace of CavsCorner.com checks in to talk about the great streak UVA is on and said that Saturday was the Cavs best performance of the year. Wallace also talked about the similarities that this years UVA team has compared with last years Wake Forest team. Looks like with this schedule, the Cavs 'Signature' win might need to come November 24th against VT, a game which will probably determine who plays for the ACC Championship. Open phones on a Monday and R&R begin talking about the BoSox and the great run that the city of Boston is on right now with the Sox, Patsies and BC Eagles. It could all come tumbling down pretty quickly though, as BC visits Lane Stadium on Thursday evening. Rich and Larry also spend most of the time talking about the Cavs. What an unbelievable run they are on right now ... and they speculate that most folks might not still believe in what they are up too. Time to talk a little NFL ... Jim Corbett of the USA Today checked in. Patsies, Patsies, Patsies is all we hear ... what about the Colts? Corbett likes their chances to knock off NE in a couple of weeks when the two teams hook up. Corbett talked a little about Belichick putting Brady back in during the beatdown of the Dolphins and he also called the Skins a weak 4-2 team. Big story so far is the rise of the Giants after a 0-2 start. R&R make fun of Teaser Mike for some poor picks in last weeks Pigskin Pick'em. Then the guys have some fun talking about bandwagon fans. Larry went after Nasty Nick for being from Atlanta, but liking UNC in hoops and VT in football. Why not just one team? Why not Georgia Tech? Nick claimed that the ATL is not a big college sports town, noone cares about GT. Rich brought Blueberry into the mix. Born and raised in Virginia ... yet he likes the Cleveland Browns, Boston RedSox, UNC and the flavor of the month in the NBA. Larry tried to drag Double R into the mix as well regarding is love of UNC ... but his logic was a bit sketchy to say the least. He should really lay off the medication before going on the air. |
