Jerry Ratcliffe, Buster Olney & David Elfin, Plus the Sox Win the Series
Monday, 29 October 2007

6:06 – 6:14

Red Sox win the World Series

Can you say that there are two dynasties living in Boston?

Rich is just happy for the poor baseball season to finally be over.

6:19 – 6:29

                Jerry Ratcliffe (Charlottesville daily progress)

·         They finally had someone to go and throw deep passes against them.

·         You can’t just go out and win three straight games in the last minute.

·         It was a trap game for UVA and we saw why, this game wasn’t a total surprise, it’s almost like you expected them to lose against NC State, whom is getting their team turned around

·         They should have done more shovel and screen passes as they did against Maryland

·         This could be the start of their tailspin, and it will be tough to win games if they follow down this path.

·         These next three games are the hardest they are going to face all season.

6:35 – 6:50

                Patriots running up the score

These guys are pros and are making millions and should stop crying about it

The last three teams have been complaining but they call time outs and are forcing them to out play these teams.

There is a chip on Belichick’s shoulder and he’s letting everyone know.

The Jets are just horrible this season and are going to get embarrassed next time they play.

6:55 – 6:59

Kirk calls up to let us now that the Redskins are bums and didn’t even show up at all.

7:06 – 7:17

                Buster Olney (ESPN)

·         You look at this Red Sox team and they are well set up for the upcoming seasons.

·         There were a lot of concerns with Mattingly and Giradi had a great interview and they really believe that Giradi was the best fit and is the best candidate.

·         This Yankees team is now being run by the sons of Steinbrenner rather than George himself.

·         There is a chance that Torre might be going to the L.A. Dodgers, and it’s unclear where A-rod might end up.

7:22 – 7:29

A-Rod and Boras were wrong to drop the big news during the World Series.

What will it take for Torre to go to the L.A. Dodgers? It definitely is not the money.

If A-Rod goes to the Red Sox or Mets, then he’s saying screw you to the Yankees but any other team it’s not really going to hurt or be directed to the Yankees.

7:35 – 7:47

                David Elfin (Washington Times)

·         Randall Godfrey went to Belichick about running up the score after the game.

·         It’s not a big deal about what the score is, it’s the NFL, what is a big deal is the issues the Redskins they are facing right now.

·         The Redskins should be worrying about these upcoming division games rather than a out an out of conference game.

·         Jason Campbell is a B- and should be playing a little better.

·         The Lions are a sorry, unimpressive, fraud of a team.

·         It’s a close race between the number three and four teams between: Pittsburg, Dallas, Giants, and Green Bay.

7:52 – 7:59

Tony Romo is just offered a 6 yr 67 million dollar contract.  He’s now just completed his first year in the NFL game wise.

How is Wake Forest still a good team?

BC is still there at the top and you’re going to have to watch out for them.
