Wednesday on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... the guys open up the show talking a little baseball as the MLB Playoffs are underway and the Mets are no where to be found. Vince Hall, All-American LB for the VT Hokies checks in looking ahead to a big matchup on Saturday down at Clemson. Hall said that LSU was a reality check for the defense and forced them to get back to basics, which he said has helped this team prepare for the tremendous backfield they will face this weekend against Clemson.
R&R next look in depth at the remaining games for the Hoos and Hokies. Double R has both UVA and VT going 8-4 now this season ... while Larry has VT in at 9-3 and UVA at 7-5. Where is the love for the Hoos from the Legend?
In hour 2, after promoting the Golf Coupons page on the website ... Rich declares himself a Pizza Purist claiming that Hawaiian Pizza is garbage and that ham, chicken, pineapple and broccoli are just a few items that DO NOT belong on pizza. Larry is sort of on board with this ... only if its not really good pizza. Typical Legend ... perched right atop the fence!
Finally ... ESPN Nascar analyst Stacy Compton checked in once again. He talked about Nationwide being the new sponsor of the Busch circuit and how the demographic of fans is changing. He also touched on the wild race over the weekend.
