Curtis Strange calls out Sergio, UVa-GaTech and Samkon Gado in Houston.
Thursday, 21 September 2006

Thursday on The Sportsline was great show.  2 Time US Open winner and former Ryder Cup player and Captain Curtis Strange joined us on the show.  He spoke about the intensity players feel during the Ryder Cup and gave the US a 50-50 chance of bringing the cup back.  Curtis also called Sergio Garcia a punk for the actions and statements he makes, most recently calling out Tiger Woods for the upcoming Ryder Cup.

On Thursday's show, we also previewed the Virginia-Georgia Tech game.  Mac McDonald joined us live from the stadium prior to kickoff saying that the Cavs need to get some positive momentum going offensively.  Rich's Best Bets were GT -16.5 (winner) and UVA team total under 12.5 (another winner).  A costly facemask penalty to the Yellow Jackets, followed by a 4th down TD pass from Jameel Sewell ruined Rich's other prediction of a shutout.

Former Liberty Flame and the newest member of the Houston Texans, Samkon Gado also stopped by the show on Thursday.  Samkon is looking forward to a new opportunity in Houston and also not spending another winter in Green Bay.
