Today's show was dominated by the expanded 1 hour version of Girl
Trivia. This contest is always a favorite on the show as we give
insulting easy trivia questions to girls so that we can make fun of how
little they really know about sports. This edition did not
disappoint as Kaylee wound up holding off Sherry (Cherry?) and
Elizabeth. The highlight of this edition of Girl Trivia was
clearly listening to these ladies try to describe and define different
football phrases and terminology. Since one of the contestants
was not quite of age, the final Trivia Question in the category
"Football Positions" was edited out at the last second by sensors . . .
as they didn't feel the question asked by Double R was appropriate for
all ages.
Also on the show today, we caught up with former VT Hokie Ronyell
Whitaker, now playing for the Minnesota Vikings. Rich asked
Ronyell about his days back in Blacksburg in which coach Beamer stopped
him from talking with the media. Whitaker said he has matured a
lot since then, and demonstrated that during the interview by being
much more restrained in his comments and not talking the smack we got
used to during his tenure at Tech.
