David Elfin, Chris Wallace, Open Phones and Lots of Football
Monday, 17 September 2007
Monday on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... lots of college football, nfl and even some baseball, plus as always ... open phones in hour 1.  Rich and Larry talked about Virginia squeaking by UNC ... Larry thought it was a better win for the Cavs than Rich did ... and they talked about VT's difficultys putting away Ohio despite a well played game by the defense.  In the opening half hour, R&R also touched on BC's beatdown of Georgia Tech and the Yankees edging ever closer to the RedSox in the AL East.

R&R also dove into the Beli-Cheat situation, then went to the phones where Sara checked in and admitted to being a big Yankees fan.  She and Larry went at it ... about the sox and yanks!  Get your head out of the gutter!!!  R&R wrapped up the hour with more UVa - UNC talk.  Again, the Legend feels that any win for UVA right now is a good one, while Rich feels that a team with big aspirations for this year barely hanging on to win a game against one of the worst teams in the ACC is nothing to be all that proud of for Wahoo fans.

David Elfin of the Washington Times checked in live from Philly where the Skins are hooking up with the Eagles on MNF.  Elfin picked the Eagles to win 20-13 but cautioned Redskins fans about getting too worked up should they lose, as this is one most folks expected them to lose all along.  The next few games will be key for the Skins.

Chris Wallace of CavsCorner.com dropped by to talk some Wahoos.  He was mildly impressed with the fact that the Cavs hung on to win after giving up their lead to UNC, but feels that in order to compete and still win 7 or 8 games, UVa must get better.  The importance of winning at UNC will be determined by the Georgia Tech and Maryland games, and whether or not Virginia can capitalize on its momentum.

R&R wrap up the show talking some Pigskin Pick'em and NFL
