Eddie Royal, Jeff White and the Final Four Playoff in PromoMania
Wednesday, 12 September 2007
Wednesday on The Sportsline with Rich and Larry ... it looks like the big game in the Commonwealth this week will take place down in Chapel Hill and Double R is psyched up for it.  There is some excitement surrounding football at UNC again, and with some young playmakers on offense the Tarheels are building and Rich thinks they can beat UVA.  Rich and Larry fool around a little with some various archived versions of the UNC fight song, but RR still likes the one of Larry singing it badly after a bet, best.  Plus we have a tie in the Final Four of PromoMania between The Shepherd and the Coach Groh.  The Ass Expert moves onto the Finals overtaking the Waterboy.

Eddie Royal, wide out for the Hokies dropped by the show.  Eddie didn't really have many answers for what happened at LSU over the weekend, but he did say that he thinks Tyrod is ready to go, and that his lack of experience for a freshman should not be that big of a deal as he has really picked things up quickly.  Royal said that Taylor is a better fit for the offense right now, but that he really likes Glennon a lot too.

The playoff takes place between The Coach Groh and The Shepherd ... and The Coach Groh moves onto the final ... in large part because of a lousy start to the football season.

R&R talk about the Great Golf Deals in VA page at sportslineradio.com, as well as the new coupon for Vista Links, and then move onto Jeff White of the Richmond Times Dispatch.  Jeff originally had UVA winning 7 games this year, and said that this week's game against UVA could be pivotal.  If Virginia should lose to Carolina, it could get ugly quick, especially with GT coming to C'ville next.  White also talked about the QB situation, with Lalich getting some significant time so early in the season.  And Jeff also said that he gave Mike Groh a pass last year, but says there are definitely some questions the OC needs to answer about the offense this year.
