Norm & The Recliners

Norm burst onto the SPC scene in 2000 as a solo act parodying the classic tune "American Pie" with his version: "Mr. Seven Win Guy". After a couple of years off . . . Norm was back in 2003 with some of the folks from his orthodontics office know as the Recliners.

Norm & The Recliners really captured the audience in 2003 and 2004 parodying fun classics like "Don't Worry Be Happy" and "Copacabana" and won both of those years.

Some technical difficulties along with great competition in 2005 cost Norm & The Recliners the 3-Peat they were seeking, although they delivered another top notch performance.

2006 was another year with no "W" for this gang, who had another solid performance but ... at least in Double R's opinion ... failed to raise their performance to the next level.  Rich really feels that Norm & The Recliners have the ability to hit the trifecta:  with great lyrics, great musical accompanyment and great entertainment value ... perhaps better than any other group in the SPC.  We'll see if they bounce back in 2007.

2000 “Mr. Seven Win Guy”
2003 “Don’t Worry Still Crappy”
2004 “Down in Blacksburg”
2005 “Blacksburg, VA”
2006 "Forgot the Lunch Pail on the Way to BC"
