While attending school at C.V.C.C. former Sports Line Intern Jake Hamlett, was getting his school books out of his car when he noticed some goings on in the car next to him in the parking lot, upon closer inspection Jake noticed Two Girls kissing in the back seat, not wanting to leave right away and wanting to watch them for a little while longer, because come on, who doesn't like to watch Two girls kissing? Jake lingered around his car, pretending to put on an old sweat shirt from his trunk, Jake didn't notice the Black Widow spider that was on that shirt, and it bit him! He went to class where he eventually had to leave and go to the Doctor. That day Jake was christened with the nick-name "Spiderman". The name stuck for a while, until it was replaced with one that might possibly last for a life time, but that's another story for another day.
