MEET "THE BEAST"

Even early on in the show, big name guest popped up now and then, and today was no exception.Future Super Bowl champion and also Future Hall of Fame player Jerome Bettis stopped by to talk to Rich and Larry.Now Rich can conduct a good interview, but Jerome was as dull to talk to as he is to watch run a football. On the field it's 2 yards and a cloud of dust, during the interview it was 2 words and a cloud of silence.
2000
After talking to Rich and Larry yesterday on the air, listeners were invited to meet live and in person Dan "The Beast" Severan at Jann Tannas tanning salon today during a Sports Line remote broadcast. After hanging around for a while listening to the show and what not, I stepped outside for a bit. "The Beast" was talking to a group of kids and I was just standing off to the side not really paying much attention while I had a smoke, when he finished talking to them he turned to me and said hello in a very friendly voice and we struck up a conversation about nothing in particular. After a few minutes we were approached by someone who asked if he could take our picture together, we both agreed, "The Beast" then put his arm around my shoulder, shook my hand and put on a giant smile for the camera. He then asked "The Beast" some generic questions and asked my name, writing down everything. After a few minutes "The Beast" shook my and and said goodbye to me. The remote ended shortly there after, with a good time being had by all.
